Hitting the Finish Line w/"Always Eat After 7 PM" (Sponsored Post)

Its been a little more than a month that I've been following the "Always Eat After 7 PM"' plan, primarily to increase my overall energy and have a more restful sleep. If you missed my updates during the process, check out the INTRODUCTION, PART 2, and PART 3

Over the last few weeks, I really got to put Joel Marion's plan through the wire, especially with the nationwide stay at home orders and the transition to a more remote learning and working environment. I was home 24/7 with my family, now balancing my school/work schedule with the remote learning obligations of the kids. We had to find ways to keep sane and adjust the activities we typically did such as going out and trying new restaurants. 

With that, I was able to see if the plan was really as easy to follow and as beneficial as it claims to be. But, more importantly, was it worth continuing?  Before I answer that, let me run down my overall thoughts not he plan:......

  • Fell right into my routine of eating later in the day. This made it easy to follow the schedule of meals suggested. I didn't have to rearrange my schedule and the only additional time was used to prep a meal for the next day, which was actually a timesaver.
  • However, it may not fall into those whose schedules, occupations, etc don't allow them to follow the plan either because the schedule of varied or they travel frequently. For me, it worked because it fit neatly in my schedule except when I needed to travel for a few days and I was up when I am usually sleeping and sleeping when I am usually up. 
  • Recipes require no more than a moderate degree of cooking experience and are pretty varied so that various dietary restrictions and preferences are included. Recipes also cover all meals and even snacks and desserts so it is pretty well rounded 
  • It doesn't add any additional costs, no special or hard to find foods to buy and no supplements. Definitely a positive for my wallet. 
Did I actually increase my energy - "Sure Did" and it came at a time I really needed the energy. I felt better, less tired, and slept better. I knew my sleep was getting better when I stopped waking up at 3:30 am and staying up for 2 hrs..... every day. I can honestly say I sleep well over 7 hrs a night, except on days I slack. 


There were also a few additional benefits like my skin is less dry and I haven't gained any weight during this "self-quarantine" maintaining the same weight I was before the orders in March. Joel did explain:


“Avoiding carbohydrates and restricting calories later in the day can have an adverse effect on your thyroid hormones, which play a major role in metabolism. When the thyroid fails to secrete enough of the hormones that control metabolism, this can trigger symptoms like fatigue, depression, weight gain, thinning hair, and dry skin.”


Overall, "Always Eat After 7 PM" is a worthy diet and meal plan that can be beneficial for a number of health and diet goals. It's an easy plan that I plan to follow in many ways including the warm lemon waters in the morning and incorporating the family into the meal prep from the large range of recipes.

Why "Always Eat After 7 PM"? (Sponsored Post) Pt. 2
